Participant Guidelines

• Age Requirement: The simulator experience is available for individuals aged 10 and above. While those under 10 cannot participate, they are welcome to take photos with the Spitfire.
• Accompaniment: Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Mobility: To enter the cockpit, participants must be able to climb in unassisted and should have good mobility.
• Dress Code: Flat shoes are required, and we recommend wearing trousers or shorts for ease of access. All loose items must be secured or left behind to avoid loss.
• Safety First: The operator reserves the right to refuse access if safety concerns arise.

The Story Behind Our Simulator

Our flight simulator has a history as rich as the Spitfire itself! Originally built in the 1980s by a film studio, it was used as a prop in TV dramas and movies, enabling close-up shots of actors in action.

We purchased the simulator as an empty cockpit from an elderly gentleman who had stored it in his barn for years. While his dream of completing it went unfulfilled, we took on the challenge, dedicating countless hours to transforming the empty shell into the fully functioning, realistic simulator you see today.
